The following is an overview of the AirKey application for Mac, along with installation and usage instructions.

To download and install the Mac version of AirKey, visit: http://www.catalystwo.com/download/AirKey.zip. Compatible with Mac OSX 10.7 through 10.9.x.

Usage instructions are as follows:

Select the application you wish to type into (for example, TextEdit) and prepare it for input.
Launch the AirKey app on your iPhone. Upon initial connection, select your device from the "Device" list; subsequent connections should establish automatically.
Type your message on the iPhone, then tap “Send” to transmit the text to your Mac; it will be inserted into the active application.

Note:

AirKey for Mac operates as a menu bar application; its icon does not appear in the Dock but is visible in the main menu bar at the top of the screen.
Your Mac and iPhone should be connected to the same local network, specifically a Bonjour-enabled network, for proper operation.
The application utilizes the clipboard; received text from your iPhone is copied to the clipboard before being pasted into the target application.
There is an option to send messages back to your iPhone via the “Send Message to Device” feature—simply type your message in the provided window.
